Megumi Nakajima

Megumi Nakajima (中島愛, born June 5, 1989) is a Japanese singer and voice actress from Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture. Her work spans j-pop and anime-related music, and her career has been closely tied to voice acting, character songs, and anison. She entered the entertainment industry in 2003 after passing an audition for Stardust Promotion. In 2007, she won Victor Entertainment's Victor Vocal & Voice Audition, which led to her 2008 debut as Ranka Lee in Macross Frontier, a role that connected her voice acting and singing careers. She began releasing music under her own name with the 2009 single "Tenshi ni Naritai", followed by the 2010 album I Love You. Nakajima also provided the voice for Megpoid, the Vocaloid developed from her vocals, and she voiced several Kantai Collection characters, including the submarines I-58 "Goya" and I-168 "Imuya" and the heavy cruiser Kinugasa. After suspending her music activities in 2014, she resumed full-scale singing and voice acting in 2016. Her 2017 single "Watashi no Sekai (ワタシノセカイ)" marked her return, and she later performed anime themes including "Saturday Night Question (サタデー・ナイト・クエスチョン)", "Shiranai Kimochi (知らない気持ち)", "Bitter Sweet Harmony", and "Kamikazari no Tenshi (髪飾りの天使)".
