Fuuka

Fuuka begins when Yuu Haruna leaves his quiet life behind and moves to Tokyo to live with his sisters after their father is transferred overseas for work. While heading out to buy dinner and checking Twitter on his phone, he collides with a high school girl who accuses him of taking upskirt photos. She snatches his phone, breaks it, slaps him, and leaves him stunned on the ground. That girl is Fuuka Akitsuki, and she also attends the school Yuu is transferring to. Fuuka stands apart from the people around her: she does not own a cellphone and listens to music with a CD player, giving her an old-fashioned presence in the middle of the city. As Yuu gets to know her, the two grow closer and decide to form a band with their friends, stepping toward the professional world of music together. What begins as an awkward first encounter becomes a new daily life in Tokyo built around friendship, rehearsal, live music, and the uncertainty of whether a shared dream can survive the pressure of growing up and chasing it for real.
