How to play
Every day at midnight UTC a new anime opening goes live — the same one for everyone. You start with a clip barely a second long: nail it on the first try and you take the maximum score, while every miss or skip unlocks more audio and, later on, the artist and the anime. Six tries, one game a day and a streak to keep.
1. Listen to the clip
The first try plays one second. That is deliberate: getting it there earns the highest score.
2. Search for the opening
Type the song, anime or artist title and pick one from the list. Every guess is compared against the answer by year, artist, genre and more.
3. Miss and hear more
Each miss or skip stretches the clip. The artist is revealed on the fourth try and the anime on the sixth.
4. Come back tomorrow
There is only one challenge a day. Sign in to keep your streak across devices, and share your result without spoiling the answer.

When does the daily opening change?
At 00:00 UTC. The countdown on the result screen shows exactly how long is left.
Is it the same opening for everyone?
Yes. Everyone playing on a given day hears exactly the same opening, so the results people share are comparable.
How many tries do I get?
Six. Every missed or skipped guess lengthens the audio clip and unlocks hints: the artist on the fourth try and the anime on the sixth.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play without one and the day’s progress stays in your browser. With an account your streak is stored on the server and follows you across devices.
How is this different from the Openingpedia quizzes?
The quizzes are quick five-question rounds with four options each, and you can replay them as often as you like. The daily opening is a single song per day, with no options and with a streak.
