Sunohara-sou no Kanrinin-san (Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou) follows Aki Shiina, a boy whose soft features often lead others to mistake him for a girl. Hoping to leave that discomfort behind, he moves into a dormitory in Tokyo and enrolls in middle school, determined to change how he sees himself and how others see him.
At Sunohara-sou, Aki finds an unexpected anchor in Ayaka Sunohara, the warm but playful caretaker who quickly takes him under her wing. The dorm is also home to girls from the student council, each with a strong personality and a habit of teasing him about his feminine appearance. What begins as an awkward adjustment becomes a series of small mishaps, teasing banter, and genuine support, with ecchi-flavored comedy keeping the mood light. As the residents push and encourage him in equal measure, Aki slowly builds confidence, helps the people around him, and learns how to navigate the attention he attracts. Rather than turning the dorm into a battlefield of jokes, Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou becomes a surprisingly welcoming home where embarrassment and kindness sit side by side.
