Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is set more than 300 years after the Calamity War, in a future where Mars and its cities remain under the control of Earth-based powers. In the Martian city of Chryse, noblewoman and independence advocate Kudelia Aina Bernstein hires the private security company CGS to escort her to Earth, where she plans to speak for Martian self-rule. Among the soldiers assigned to protect her are Mikazuki Augus, a quiet and lethal pilot, and Orga Itsuka, the leader who refuses to let CGS keep exploiting its child soldiers. When Gjallarhorn attacks Kudelia and exposes CGS's corruption, Orga uses the crisis to break away and build a new future for his comrades. Mikazuki takes control of Gundam Barbatos, a mobile suit left over from the Calamity War and powered by a rare reactor, turning the escape from Chryse into the start of a larger political and military struggle. As the story expands across Mars, Earth, and the forces that link them, Iron-Blooded Orphans follows the bond between Mikazuki and Orga, Kudelia's growing role in the fight for independence, and the ambitions of figures such as McGillis Fareed. The series treats mobile-suit combat as part of a harsher story about exploitation, class division, loyalty, and survival.
