GRANRODEO

GRANRODEO is a Japanese rock band formed in 2005 by vocalist KISHOW and guitarist e-ZUKA. The duo grew out of work on a character song for 『君が望む永遠』, and its division of labor has remained the same since then: KISHOW writes most of the lyrics, while e-ZUKA composes and arranges the music. Released through Lantis, the band's songs draw on hard rock and heavy metal, but also move across pop and other styles, with sharp guitar work, dramatic melodies, and KISHOW’s expressive vocals. Anime openings and endings have been central to GRANRODEO's career. For Kuroko's Basketball (Kuroko no Basket), the band performed most of the television anime's opening themes. It began with "Can Do" and later returned with "RIMFIRE", "The Other self", "変幻自在のマジカルスター", "Punky Funky Love", and "Memories (メモリーズ)". The group also recorded "Glorious days" for the series. GRANRODEO has also worked on anime such as D.Gray-man and Bungou Stray Dogs, performing "TRASH CANDY", "Setsuna no Ai (セツナの愛)", "Deadly Drive", and "Tetsu no Ori (鉄の檻)". GRANRODEO marked its fifth anniversary with a solo concert at Nippon Budokan on May 3, 2010. It later played major venues including Yokohama Arena, Saitama Super Arena, Osaka-jō Hall, Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, and Makuhari Messe. On the charts, CRACK STAR FLASH reached No. 1 on the Oricon daily album chart on October 10, 2012. カルマとラビリンス peaked at No. 3 on the weekly chart in 2014, and Pierrot Dancin' gave the band a third consecutive top-three weekly album in 2017.
