Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team

Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team unfolds in UC 0079, after the success of Operation Odessa. As the Earth Federation sends more and more soldiers to Earth to free it from the hands of the Principality of Zeon, retreating Zeonic troops scatter into remote parts of the world, leaving the Earth Federation Ground Force to hunt them down and exterminate them. Ensign Shiro Amada is appointed leader of the 08th MS Team and sent into battle at the head of a squad of Ground Type Gundams. Shiro's mission is to distract the enemy and uncover a mysterious new Zeon weapon before it can change the balance of the war. That assignment grows far more complicated when he falls in love with Aina Sahalin, a Zeon pilot on the opposite side of the conflict. Around him, Karen Joshua, Terry Sanders Jr., Eledore Massis, Michel Ninorich, and Kiki Rosita shape the daily life and morale of the unit, while Zeon figures such as Ginias Sahalin and Norris Packard drive the fighting from the other side. Focused on frontline warfare rather than grand strategy, the story follows a small team caught between military duty, personal loyalty, and the human cost of war.
