JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure begins in 1868, when English nobleman George Joestar and his son Jonathan become indebted to Dario Brando after a carriage incident. What the Joestars do not realize is that Dario never intended to help them; believing the family dead, he had tried to ransack their belongings instead. Twelve years later, after Dario's death, George adopts Dario's son Dio and brings him into the Joestar household in hopes of repaying that debt. To the outside world, Dio appears to be a courteous foster son and later a close friend to Jonathan, but he is secretly plotting to steal the Joestar fortune and secure his own place by driving a wedge between George and Jonathan. By constantly outdoing his foster brother, Dio makes himself harder to ignore, until Jonathan is forced to confront him in a brutal brawl. Years later, when George falls ill, Jonathan begins to suspect that Dio is somehow behind the incident, even as Dio seems to have more tricks hidden up his sleeve and the ancient stone mask in the Joestar family's possession begins to reveal its supernatural power. That opening conflict marks the start of the Joestar family's long and strange legacy. In 1938 New York City, Jonathan's grandson Joseph Joestar inherits that struggle and joins allies such as Caesar Zeppeli in a new battle connected to the stone mask and the monstrous Pillar Men. Across generations, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure follows the Joestars through shifting eras, bloodline rivalries, and escalating supernatural threats, as each new "JoJo" faces enemies that test courage, loyalty, cunning, and the will to survive.
