Pat Metheny Group is a long-running jazz fusion ensemble led by guitarist Pat Metheny, a multi Grammy Award winner. Built around Metheny’s guitar voice and a collaborative band setting, the project released most of his albums with the band under the Pat Metheny Group moniker.
Rooted in jazz fusion, the group’s sound connects improvisation, melody, and ensemble interplay. It also helped Metheny reach listeners beyond a traditional jazz audience. In anime, “Last Train Home (ラスト・トレイン・ホーム)” was used as the ED of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure during the second half of the show's Stardust Crusaders arc, bringing the band’s music to a wider audience.
