YES is an English rock band formed in 1968 by bassist Chris Squire and singer Jon Anderson. During the 1970s, it became one of the most successful progressive rock acts of its era. Nine of its 21 studio albums reached the top ten in the UK or US, and two reached number one in the UK. The band's music is associated with elaborate musicianship and ambitious song structures. It is also known for technical precision, layered arrangements, expansive compositions, and high-concept songwriting. Its sound blends art rock and symphonic elements with intricate instrumental passages, alongside a mix of melody and complexity. Its lyrics often draw on mystical and cosmic imagery. In anime, YES is especially recognized for "Roundabout," from the 1971 album Fragile. The song was used as the ending theme for the 2012 anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, a placement that introduced the band to a new generation of listeners.
