Maon Kurosaki was a Japanese singer-songwriter and illustrator, born as 黒崎 真音 on January 13, 1988, in Tokyo. She built her career in anisong, where her music blended j-pop, alternative rock, and alternative metal with pop and electronic elements and a dramatic, emotionally direct delivery. Her work was released through NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan LLC, and she became a familiar name for listeners looking for anime songs with a dark, melodic edge. Throughout her career, Maon Kurosaki stood out both as a solo artist and through ALTIMA, the project she formed with KOTOKO.
