halca is a Japanese J-pop and anisong singer from Okinawa, Japan, born on July 7. She developed an interest in singing and anime from childhood, placed runner-up in the first ウタカツ!オーディション in 2013, and continued her music activities before making her major debut in 2018 with "Kimi no Tonari (キミの隣)," the ending theme of "Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii." She is affiliated with Music Ray'n and signed to Sacra Music, and she also served as the opening act on the Chico with HoneyWorks 2017 tour. Her career has remained closely tied to anime songs, particularly ending themes. After "Ashita mo Mata (明日もまた)" for "Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii," she went on to perform "Sentimental Crisis (センチメンタルクライシス)" for "Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai," songs for "Kanojo, Okarishimasu" including "Kokuhaku Bungee Jump (告白バンジージャンプ)," "First Drop," and "Renai Miri Film (恋愛ミリフィルム)," and "Darekare Scramble (誰彼スクランブル)" for "Engage Kiss." In 2025, she released the music video for the ending song of the TV anime mono, and in 2026 she was announced as the performer of the ending song for Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games.
