Engage Kiss

Engage Kiss is set in Bayron City, a gleaming artificial island metropolis in the Pacific that stands outside any country's jurisdiction. Powered by a newly discovered energy resource called orgonium and sold to its citizens as a place of comfort, progress, and luxury, the city hides a more dangerous reality beneath its polished image: demon hazards and possession cases remain a constant threat, and private military companies and smaller operators are tasked with stopping that danger before ordinary life is shattered. Shuu Ogata is one of those operators, a young demon exterminator who runs his own small private military business but still struggles to stay afloat because of reckless spending. His closest ally is Kisara, his demon partner, who works out of Shuu's office, attends high school in Bayron City, and keeps inserting herself into his daily life with far more enthusiasm than he can comfortably handle, from household chores to paperwork. However awkward their arrangement can be, Shuu and Kisara rely on each other when demon incidents surface, moving from one countermeasure operation to the next as they try to protect Bayron City from the creatures lurking in the shadows. Their work is further complicated by Ayano Yuugiri, Shuu's ex-girlfriend, an elite agent, and a former colleague from the major PMC where he once worked. As Shuu and Kisara keep cleaning up the city's worst problems, the hidden cost of their work becomes harder to ignore: exterminating the possessed is never as simple as it looks, and the price attached to keeping Bayron City safe is something few people around them truly understand.
