Baki

Baki centers on Baki Hanma, a prodigy of underground combat who has spent his life honing his body and spirit for one goal: to stand before his father, Yuujirou Hanma, the feared 'Ogre' and the strongest man alive. That personal obsession gives the franchise its core tension, turning every confrontation into another step in Baki's effort to become strong enough to face the man who shaped his life. Across the Baki franchise, brutal tournaments, prison breakouts, and sudden death matches drag him into a world where boxers, wrestlers, assassins, and martial artists collide in contests that push human limits. Each fighter brings a different style, philosophy, and level of cruelty, forcing Baki to sharpen not only his technique but also his discipline and pride. What begins as a quest for one impossible rematch becomes a relentless escalation of violence, skill, and endurance, with every victory creating a new opponent and every defeat demanding a harsher answer. The result is a franchise built on ferocious fights, absurd physical feats, and constant escalation, yet always anchored by Baki's singular drive to stand before Yuujirou and prove himself in the harshest arena imaginable.
