InuYasha

In InuYasha, Kagome Higurashi's 15th birthday takes a sudden turn when a demon drags her into the old well at her family's shrine and sends her to feudal Japan, a time when demons are a common part of daily life. Hunted by the creatures that roam the era, Kagome discovers that she is carrying the Shikon Jewel, a small sphere with extraordinary power that has made her a target from the moment she arrived. There she meets InuYasha, a half-demon boy who mistakes her for Kikyo, a shrine maiden he seems to resent. Their first encounter is hostile, and Kagome's resemblance to Kikyo keeps the tension between them alive, but the two are forced to work together as the danger around them grows. When a fight for the Shikon Jewel shatters it into fragments and scatters the shards across the land, Kagome and InuYasha begin a dangerous quest to recover them before they fall into the wrong hands. Traveling across feudal Japan, they face relentless demons and the consequences of the Jewel's shattered power, while their uneasy bond slowly turns into a partnership built on trust, survival, and shared purpose.
