BoA

BoA is a South Korean singer and songwriter who debuted in 2000 at age 13 and became one of the first major K-pop solo acts to find lasting success in Japan. Her sound is rooted in pop, dance-pop, and R&B, and she is widely associated with both the Korean and Japanese pop markets. Anime fans know BoA for theme songs such as "Every Heart" from InuYasha and "Masayume Chasing" from Fairy Tail, which helped extend her profile beyond mainstream pop audiences. She has released music in both Korean and Japanese, and that bilingual career became a key part of her appeal in J-pop and anison circles. Active since 2000, BoA remains an important reference point for artists who crossed between the Korean and Japanese music scenes.
