ZAQ is a Japanese singer-songwriter and composer from Kagoshima Prefecture, born on March 16, 1988 and credited in Japanese as 伊作梨南. Best known for anime songs, openings, and endings, she has built a career in J-pop and anison through music that combines a personal, self-directed writing style with strong melody and energy. She is associated with Lantis, the label behind much of her anime-related work.
ZAQ began learning piano at age three, and in junior high school she was especially drawn to Mongol800 and Going Steady, influences that helped shape the edge in her songwriting.
