CHiCO with HoneyWorks

CHiCO with HoneyWorks is a Japanese music unit formed in 2014 around vocalist CHiCO and the creator unit HoneyWorks, a team formed in 2009 that includes Gomu, shito, and Yamako. The project grew out of the Utattemita scene after CHiCO won the first "ウタカツ！" audition organized by Sony Music Entertainment Japan in 2013, which led to her collaboration with HoneyWorks; the unit was also associated with Music Ray'n. It made its debut on 2014-08-06 with "Sekai wa Koi ni Ochiteiru", the opening theme for Ao Haru Ride, and later released albums including Sekai wa i ni Michiteiru and iikoto ga Arundayo. Its music blends J-pop, pop, and rock, often focusing on youth, bittersweet romance, and growing up. The unit became a regular presence in anime through themes for Ao Haru Ride, Magic Kaito 1412, Gintama, and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, including songs such as "Ai no Scenario (アイのシナリオ)", "Pride Kakumei (プライド革命)", "Kyou mo Sakura Mau Akatsuki ni (今日もサクラ舞う暁に)", "Kessen Spirit (決戦スピリット)", "Himitsu Koi Gokoro (ヒミツ恋ゴコロ)", "Ace (エース)", "Bouken no VLOG (冒険のVLOG)", "fam!", "Kusuguttai. (くすぐったい。)", and "Minikui Ikimono (醜い生き物)". CHiCO with HoneyWorks paused activities in 2023 while CHiCO began solo work in July of that year, then resumed activities on 2025-08-06; later anime work included opening songs for With You, Our Love Will Make It Through, I Want to End This Love Game, and An Adventurer's Daily Grind at Age 29.
