Durarara!!

Durarara!! is set in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, a district where rumor, violence, and the supernatural spill into everyday life under bright neon lights. Mikado Ryuugamine arrives in the city hoping for the excitement he has always wanted, but he is quickly pulled into a maze of events that connects him to his childhood friend Masaomi, the mysterious headless rider Celty Sturluson, the information broker Izaya Orihara, and the unnervingly strong Shizuo Heiwajima. Across the wider Durarara!! franchise, ordinary students, local troublemakers, and impossible beings share the same streets as rival factions such as the Dollars and the Yellow Scarves. Each group chases its own agenda, yet every clash reveals another hidden link inside Ikebukuro's tangled social web. What looks at first like a story of city nightlife and teenage curiosity gradually becomes an ensemble drama about identity, loyalty, rumor, and the fragile connections that keep the city in motion. The result is a fast-moving portrait of a place where no encounter is accidental and every conversation can set off the next crisis.
