Yuya Matsushita

Yuya Matsushita (松下優也, born May 24, 1990) is a Japanese singer and actor from Kobe, Japan. His music draws on J-pop, contemporary R&B, and hip-hop. He signed with Epic Records Japan in January 2008, then made his solo debut on November 26, 2008 with the single "foolish foolish," developed with producer Nakamura Jin. His work also extended into anime and theater. "Trust Me" was the ending theme for "Durarara!!", and "Bird" was the ending theme for "Kuroshitsuji". On stage, he played Sebastian Michaelis in the Kuroshitsuji Musical, one of his early crossover roles between music and theater. At the end of 2014, he announced an indefinite hiatus from activities under the name Yuya Matsushita. He then began working as YUYA in X4 on March 20, 2015. After X4 disbanded on March 31, 2020, he resumed solo music activities in October 2020 under the name YOUYA and released the single "Ghost" in November. Matsushita established his personal agency Mars Art on March 1, 2022, and joined Amuse on August 24, 2023. His official website is http://www.matsushitayuya.com/.
