Dr. Stone

Dr. Stone begins when high-schooler Taiju Ooki finally works up the nerve to confess his long-held feelings to Yuzuriha Ogawa, only for a blinding green light to strike the Earth and petrify humanity around the world in an instant. With every person turned to stone, civilization vanishes and the planet is left in silence. Thousands of years later, Taiju awakens in a world where nature has swallowed the ruins of modern life. There, in the stone world, he finds one other living human: his science-loving friend Senkuu, who has already spent months preparing for humanity's comeback. Senkuu's plan is ambitious and precise—to rebuild civilization from the ground up with science—and Taiju's strength and loyalty make him the perfect partner to help bring that vision to life. Together, they begin uncovering a method to revive the petrified and to expand the small circle of people who can help them. But Dr. Stone is not only a race to restore the old world. As new people awaken, Senkuu's ideals are challenged by those who see the future differently, and the mystery behind mankind's petrification continues to hang over everything they build.
