Fujifabric

Fujifabric is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in 2000 in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, by Masahiko Shimura. After early lineup changes, Daisuke Kanazawa and Shinichi Kato joined in 2003. Soichiro Yamauchi became an official member in 2004, establishing the core lineup built around Daisuke Kanazawa, Shinichi Kato, Soichiro Yamauchi, and Masahiko Shimura. The band made its major-label debut in 2004 and was associated with EMI Music Japan. Its songs blend alternative rock, j-rock, and power pop, while also drawing on elements of jazz, disco, and progressive rock. After Shimura died on December 24, 2009, Fujifabric continued as a band with Kanazawa, Kato, and Yamauchi. The group has also performed anime themes, including "Tsurezure Monochrome (徒然モノクローム)" for Tsuritama, "Blue (ブルー)" for Ao Haru Ride, "LIFE" for Gin no Saji, "Golden Time" for Naruto and Boruto, and "Rakuen (楽園)" for Dr. Stone. Their catalogue continued to be revisited in 2026, when JIJIM released a cover of 'Wakamono no Subete,' and Soichiro Yamauchi teamed up with KREVA for a remake cover of Shigeru Suzuki's 'Hachigatsu no Nioi' as part of PANAM's 55th-anniversary cover project.
