Yoshitsugu Matsuoka

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (松岡禎丞, born September 17, 1986) is a Japanese voice actor (seiyuu) from Obihiro, Hokkaidō, Japan, who grew up in Ikeda and has been affiliated with I'm Enterprise since 2009. After training at Yoyogi Animation Academy and the Japan Narration Acting Institute, he made his debut in 2009 as AKX20000 in 東のエデン. He had his first leading role as Narumi Fujishima in 神様のメモ帳, won Best New Actor at the 6th Seiyu Awards in 2012, and rose to wider prominence as Kirito in Sword Art Online. His later roles include Bell Cranel in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Sōma Yukihira in Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, Sora in No Game No Life, Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, Inosuke Hashibira in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Fūtarō Uesugi in The Quintessential Quintuplets, Xiao in Genshin Impact, and Vash the Stampede in Trigun Stampede. He won the 10th Seiyuu Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Alongside his anime and game voice work, Matsuoka has performed songs tied to his screen work, including "The Bravest Destiny" for Aoharu x Kikanjuu, "Believe My Dice" for Makai Ouji, and several Nijiiro Days endings such as "Rainbow Days!", "Arch (アーチ)", and "Hallelujah! Shinin' Days (ハレルヤ！Shinin‘Days)". On June 17, 2019, it was announced that Guinness World Records had certified him for the largest number of lines performed by a single voice actor in a mobile game, a record achieved through Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Memoria Freese. In 2026, he added new anime cast credits with どこよりも遠い場所にいる君へ, the fourth series second cour of 『魔入りました！入間くん』, and 『最強出涸らし皇子の暗躍帝位争い』. Outside his professional work, he has listed hobbies such as cooking, guitar, jogging, singing, snowboarding, and taking walks.
