Nijiiro Days

Nijiiro Days is a high school romantic comedy built around four close friends whose personalities keep pushing their everyday lives in different directions. Natsuki Hashiba is a dreamer who gets carried away by his ideas of love, Tomoya Matsunaga is a narcissistic playboy with multiple girlfriends, Keiichi Katakura is a kinky sadist who is rarely seen without his whip, and Tsuyoshi Naoe is an otaku whose girlfriend is a cosplayer. Their friendship runs on constant teasing, interruptions, and real support, so one boy’s crush or heartbreak never stays private for long. As their school days unfold, Anna Kobayakawa, Mari Tsutsui, Yukiko Asai, and Tomoya’s younger sister Nozomi Matsunaga become part of a lively circle shaped by confessions, misunderstandings, and awkward but sincere attempts at romance. The central thread begins on Christmas Eve, when Natsuki is suddenly dumped by his girlfriend and ends up crying in the middle of the street. A girl in a Santa Claus suit offers him tissues, and that brief act of kindness is enough for him to fall for her at first sight. She turns out to be Anna, a student at the same school, and what should have been a simple pursuit quickly becomes complicated once his nosy friends start meddling while chasing their own romantic hopes. The series balances broad comedy with the shifting bonds of friendship, first love, and teenage insecurity that tie the group together.
