Synopsis
Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to centers on Yuuki Aito, a manga artist whose studio routine is dominated by deadlines, crude jokes, and a fixation on panties. Working alongside a small team of female assistants, he repeatedly drags their ordinary workdays into embarrassment, irritation, and misunderstandings, especially when he asks them to serve as references for the manga he draws.
What keeps the comedy moving is the contradiction at the heart of Aito's personality. He can be shameless and outrageous one moment, then unexpectedly kind, generous, and helpful the next, and that hidden decency makes his assistants' reactions even more complicated. They are never sure whether they are dealing with a hopeless pervert or a man who is trying, in his own clumsy way, to be considerate.
Rather than pushing toward a single dramatic payoff, the series stays with workplace chaos, rapid-fire banter, and the unstable mix of frustration and affection that shapes Aito's everyday life.
