Nao Toyama

Nao Toyama (東山 奈央, born March 11, 1992) is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Tokyo, Japan. After training at the Japan Narration Acting Institute, she debuted as a voice actress in 2010. Her first leading role was Kanon Nakagawa in The World God Only Knows. While building her early acting career, she also studied at university; she graduated from Waseda University in 2014. She joined Arts Vision and later moved to Intention. Her work spans anime voice acting and anisong. She has moved between character work and solo music in openings, endings, image songs, and other anime-related releases. In 2016, Toyama announced her solo singer debut. She released her first single, "True Destiny/Chain the world", through FlyingDog on February 1, 2017, and held her first live at Nippon Budokan on February 3, 2018. Her anime songs include "Imakoko (イマココ)" for Tsuki ga Kirei. She also performed "Tomoshibi no Manimani (灯火のまにまに)" and "Namida no Recipe (涙のレシピ)" for Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi, as well as "Fukashigi no Carte (不可思議のカルテ)" from Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai. In 2019, she won the Best Supporting Actress Award and the Game Award at the 13th Seiyu Awards. She later formed the unit ぽかぽかイオン with 安野希世乃. In 2026, she announced plans to pause music activities in 2027, to hold a final live at Nippon Budokan on her birthday, and to release the full album OVER THE RAINBOW in October 2026.
