MimimemeMIMI

MimimemeMIMI is a Japanese J-pop music unit formed in 2012 around Yuka (ユカ) and Chamooi (ちゃもーい), with releases through A-Sketch. The two met while they were at university and formed the project after receiving an offer for an anime tie-in. Active from 2013, the unit made its major debut in August 2013 with "Sentimental Love", the OP of "Kimi no Iru Machi". Its visual side centered on MIMI, an original character created by ちゃもーい from the image of ユカ playing piano, and its promotional videos were produced by 2.5D. MimimemeMIMI continued to work in anime music with songs including "Sayonara Usotsuki (サヨナラ嘘ツキ)" for "Blade & Soul", "CANDY MAGIC" for "Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo", and "Harebare Fanfare (晴レ晴レファンファーレ)" for "Amaama to Inazuma". In June 2014 the group held its first one-man live at Akasaka BLITZ, when Yuka was publicly revealed to be the voice actress タカオユキ after the project had avoided face reveals across broadcast, print, and internet media since its debut. In 2017 it released "Rirai Mirai (リライミライ)", the ED of "Akiba's Trip", on the compilation album "AKIBA'S COLLECTION" released on March 22, 2017. MimimemeMIMI announced in July 2017 that it would disband after "みみめめMIMI LIVE2017～Bon! Voyage!～" on September 9, 2017, and タカオユキ retired from entertainment afterward.
