Akiba's Trip

Akiba's Trip follows otaku siblings Tamotsu and Niwaka Denkigai as an ordinary shopping trip to Akihabara spirals into a bizarre war for the district’s survival. The streets they came to browse are suddenly under attack by the Bugged Ones, vampiric cosplaying monsters that spread chaos by biting and possessing the people around them. When Tamotsu is trapped, he is rescued by the mysterious baseball bat-wielding Matome Mayonaka, and that rescue pulls him into a struggle far stranger than a simple monster invasion. As the crisis grows, Tamotsu, Matome, and the energetic otaku cosplayer Arisa Ahokainen become the improvised team known as The Electric Mayonnaise. Together they fight the Bugged Ones with the one tactic that actually works: stripping away the monsters’ clothes and exposing them to sunlight. Blending absurd action, fan-service comedy, and a lively love letter to otaku culture, Akiba's Trip turns Akihabara’s shops, back alleys, and crowded streets into a battlefield where the district’s subculture is something worth defending.
