Tsuritama

Saving the world... by fishing? Tsuritama opens in Enoshima, where Yuki Sanada arrives hoping for a quiet reset after spending much of his life moving from town to town with his grandma. Socially awkward and anxious, he feels out of place in nearly every conversation, and the seaside town only seems to make his uncertainty more obvious. That changes when Haru, a strange and intensely upbeat fellow transfer student, bursts into his life, insists that he is an alien, and declares Yuki to be his friend without warning. Haru soon draws in Natsuki Usami, Yuki’s classmate and a gifted fisherman whose pride and energy make him as stubborn as he is capable. Together, the three boys are pulled into an absurd but strangely urgent mission: save the world from a mysterious threat lurking beneath the ocean. What follows blends school life, fishing, and Haru’s baffling declarations into a whimsical story set against Enoshima’s coastal backdrop. As the boys stumble through mischief, laughter, and increasingly unexpected teamwork, Tsuritama turns its eccentric premise into a story about trust, friendship, and the small acts that help Yuki and the others discover who they are.
