Birthplace: Kanagawa, Japan ELISA is a Japanese pop singer and model represented by Elite Model Management Japan. She made her debut with the single "euphoric field feat. ELISA." She discovered her love for singing by joining a choir in seventh grade and had been playing the piano since she was three years old. In ninth grade, she participated in the national choir convention, and in tenth grade, she joined an opera performance. Her favorite opera is Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro." At the age of eleven, she auditioned for the "Elite Model Look 2007" to explore her potential, with ten finalists selected for the National Convention. The opera she performed during her audition led to her major debut in October of that year. Her debut single, "euphoric field feat. ELISA" (the opening theme for the TV anime "ef-a tale of memories"), debuted at 22nd place on the ORICON chart and became a long-time seller, achieving remarkable success with over 30,000 copies sold as a rookie. She released her second single, "HIKARI" (the ending theme for the TV anime "Nabari no Ou"), in May 2008, further establishing her presence as a singer with a contrasting ballad.
