Kakumeiki Valvrave

Kakumeiki Valvrave is set in the 71st year of the True Era, when humanity has expanded into space and now lives in independent galactic colonies. The world is divided between two major powers—the Atlantic Rim United States (ARUS) and the Dorssia Military Pact Federation—whose conflict spreads from Earth to the stars. Between them stands JIOR, a third faction made up of Japan and the islands of the Oceanian Republic, which remains neutral and prospers by keeping its distance from the war. The story begins in a JIOR colony in outer space, where Haruto Tokishima's quiet life is shattered when a Dorssian fleet launches a sudden assault in search of the Valvraves, powerful mechanized weapons hidden beneath Sakimori Academy, his school. As panic engulfs the colony, Haruto is forced to confront one of the machines and, in exchange for its power, seals a contract that costs him his humanity. Thrown into a conflict far larger than himself, he finds an unlikely ally in L-elf, an enigmatic Dorssian agent and gifted strategist. Together, Haruto and the Valvrave become the spark of a revolution aimed at liberating the world.
