Strike Witches

Strike Witches unfolds in a world where the Neuroi appear in 1939 and push humanity to the brink of collapse, overwhelming conventional armies with weapons capable of wiping out cities, battalions, and entire nations. To resist them, the world's powers develop the Striker Unit, a system that lets selected girls draw on magical power, mount overwhelming firepower, and fly into battle against an enemy ordinary warfare cannot stop. The witches who fight under this technology become humanity's most reliable shield, and their strength depends on the trust they build with one another as much as on raw power. By 1944, Yoshika Miyafuji, a young girl with no formal combat training, arrives at the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, the Strike Witches. Thrown into a brutal war she is not ready for, she must learn discipline, teamwork, and survival while standing beside a unit that keeps pushing back against the Neuroi. Across the franchise, Strike Witches centers on military action, fantasy, and wartime camaraderie, following the women who defend what remains of the world against an enemy that still seems impossible to fully defeat.
