Chiwa Saito

Chiwa Saito (齋藤千和, born March 12, 1981) is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Saitama Prefecture. Active since 1999, she is represented by I'm Enterprise. While still in high school, she entered the Japan Narration Acting Institute. She made her debut in the television anime 『魔術士オーフェン Revenge』, then went on to land her first regular lead role as Kokoro in 『ココロ図書館』. In 2002, she formed the voice actress unit みっくすJUICE with 森永理科, 植田佳奈, and 中原麻衣. The group released CDs, performed live, and appeared on television and radio before disbanding in 2003. Saito is closely associated with the Monogatari series through her role as Hitagi Senjougahara. For the series, she also performed the opening themes "staple stable", "fast love", and "Futakotome (二言目)". She is also associated with Puella Magi Madoka Magica as Homura Akemi. Her other anime song credits include "BEAUTIFUL SKY", "Ponytail no Shijuu (ポニーテールの四十)", and "Bookmark A Head". At the Newtype Anime Awards 2011, she won the Best Supporting Actress award, and Homura Akemi won the female character award at the same ceremony. In 2026, she appeared in interview coverage for The Irregular at Magic High School: Yotsuba Succession Arc and was cast in Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube Cour 2 as one of the school’s mysteries.
