She has also worked with Hoshi Soichiro, where her character played a role in saving Soichiro's character. In the first half of Hanaukyo Maid Tai La Verite episode 5, Mariel, voiced by Rie, cosplays as Chi from Chobits, who was also voiced by Rie. Rie is a passionate fan of one of her characters, Suigintou from Rozen Maiden, and has even done a cosplay of her own character. Some of the characters she has voiced are dressed in Gothic Lolita style, including Chii and Freya from Chobits, Suigintou from Rozen Maiden, and Towa-chan from DN Angel.
