Ao no Exorcist

In Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist), humans and demons are divided between Assiah and Gehenna, two worlds linked only through possession. Satan, ruler of Gehenna, cannot find a suitable host to invade Assiah, so he sends his son ahead with the intention of raising him into a vessel powerful enough to carry his will. Rin Okumura seems like an ordinary, rough-edged teenager until demons attack and he learns the truth about his bloodline: he is the son of Satan. Faced with a demon father who wants him to return and help conquer Assiah, Rin rejects that fate and decides to become an exorcist instead. At True Cross Academy, he trains alongside humanity's defenders, determined to protect Assiah and prove that his choices matter more than the blood he inherited. As Rin struggles to control the power that marks him as Satan's son, Blue Exorcist widens into the conflict between Assiah and Gehenna, where demons, exorcists, and faith collide. His bond with his brother Yukio adds another layer of tension, forcing Rin to confront what family means when loyalty, duty, and inheritance all pull in different directions.
