Sou

Sou (born August 19, 1998) is a Japanese singer and J-pop artist who has been active since 2013. He began as an utaite on January 7, 2013, when he uploaded a cover of "独りんぼエンヴィー" to Niconico, and he made his major debut in December 2015 with the first album 『水奏レグルス』. Alongside continued online uploads, he has collaborated with creators including Eve and has also performed in the unit "おかえりって言え" with いすぼくろ and ウォルピスカーター. In March 2019 he released "愚者のパレード", his first song for which he handled both lyrics and composition, and that year he held his first one-man live "Salir" at マイナビBLITZ赤坂 and released the second album "深層から". He followed with the EP "Utopia" in August 2020 and the worldwide online concert "Sou LIVE 2020 -UTOPIA-" on September 19, 2020; in 2022 he formed the collaboration unit そっとブルー with いゔどっと, returned to solo touring with "Sou Live Tour Solution 2022", marked his 10th anniversary in 2023 with the ZeppDivercity live "Orbit", and opened "Sou Official Fanclub" in April 2024. He is best known for anime theme songs and for maintaining a strong online profile through openings, endings, and related music videos for TV anime. "Mister Fixer (ミスターフィクサー)", the opening theme of "Id:Invaded", became a major breakthrough in 2020, and his anime work has since included "ネロ" for "Dead Mount Death Play", "Sekai wo Inuite (世界を射抜いて)" for "The New Gate", "Tada, Kimi no Mama de (ただ、君のままで)" for "Zenshuu.", and "Q.E.D." for "Arne no Jikenbo". Among his recent anime-related releases, the ending song music video for ZENSHU was shared on January 24, 2025, the opening song music video for A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! Cour 2 on January 7, 2025, and the opening song music video for The Case Book of Arne on January 8, 2026. In 2025, the ending song music video for Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It surpassed 100 million views. As of June 2023, his cover of Eve's "ナンセンス文学" had surpassed 6.21 million views on Niconico, and his YouTube cover of 羽生まゐご's "ハレハレヤ" had exceeded 110 million views.
