Shuhei Kita

Shuhei Kita (喜多 修平, born July 29, 1980) is a Japanese singer from Kumatori, Sennan District, Osaka Prefecture, raised in Izumi, Japan. He works mainly in music related to anime and video games. After winning the first Anison Grand Prix in 2007, he debuted in 2008 with "Breakin' through," the first opening of Persona -trinity soul-. Released by Aniplex, the song became his first single, sold more than 10,000 copies and reached #26 on the Oricon CD singles chart in March 2008. In that early period he also performed "Issei no Sei (一斉の声; Simultaneous Voice)," the opening theme of Natsume Yuujinchou. Outside television anime, he sang the opening of Persona 3 Portable, "Soul Phase," and the main theme of Love Lebo Portable, "Secret Garden." On March 1, 2009, he joined SOLID VOX, later merged into HIGHWAY STAR. After moving from Aniplex to Lantis, his third single, "STORIES," was released by GloryHeaven. Then, on May 7, 2010, he released the fourth single "Secret Garden," his first single with his own lyrics and music. He later performed "Sekai de Ichiban Koishiteru (世界で一番恋してる)" and "Sekai no Hate ni Kimi ga Itemo (世界の果てに君がいても)" for Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. In 2013 he took part in Project Yamato 2199 to sing "Uchuu Senkan Yamato (宇宙戦艦ヤマト)" for Space Battleship Yamato 2199.
