Sekaiichi Hatsukoi

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi follows Ritsu Onodera, a literary editor who leaves his father's publishing company determined to prove that he can succeed on his own. At Marukawa Publishing, he is assigned to work as a rookie manga editor, where fast deadlines, office pressure, and the constant demands of the industry force him to adapt quickly. The job becomes even more complicated when he runs into Masamune Takano, his first love from high school, and their reunion brings back feelings and conflicts Ritsu has spent years trying to ignore. As Ritsu tries to find his footing, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi blends workplace comedy with romantic tension, tracing the lingering pain of first love as it collides with professional responsibility. The franchise also widens its perspective beyond Ritsu and Takano, following other interconnected couples inside the office and showing how love, insecurity, and persistence shape the relationships around them. Set in the publishing world, the series uses its bustling workplace to frame both the awkward humor and the emotional weight of its romances, leaving Ritsu caught between the life he wants to build and the person he once left behind.
