Maken-Ki!

Maken-Ki! follows Takeru Ohyama, a typical perverted teenage boy who thinks he has found the ideal high school when he transfers to a co-ed academy that does not require entrance exams. His dream of an easy, carefree student life collapses almost as soon as he arrives, because the school is built around something far stranger than ordinary classes: students duel with a special device called a Maken, channeling it into supernatural abilities. As Takeru is pulled into that world, he has to find a Maken that responds to him while trying to keep up with a campus full of girls, rivals, and constant misunderstandings. Every attempt to settle in gets tangled with magical battles, embarrassing situations, and the chaotic romantic-comedy energy that defines his days. Based on Hiromitsu Takeda's manga series, Maken-Ki! mixes school-life comedy with action and supernatural competition, following Takeru as he struggles to survive an academy where ordinary teenage problems are never just ordinary.
