Cö shu Nie

Cö shu Nie is a Japanese rock band from Osaka, formed in February 2011 as the solo project of vocalist, guitarist, and keyboardist Miku Nakamura. Signed to Sony Music Entertainment Japan, the group went through several lineup changes before settling around Nakamura and bassist Shunsuke Matsumoto. Drummer Ryōsuke Fujita joined as an official member in 2018 and left in 2021. Throughout those changes, Nakamura remained the central creative figure. The band’s music blends alternative rock with experimental and electronic textures, moody harmonies, and layered production. Its songs often move between atmospheric passages, sharp rhythmic shifts, abrupt dynamic changes, and emotionally charged melodies, with an arrangement style marked by cinematic tension and unpredictability. Cö shu Nie reached a wider audience with its 2018 major debut single "asphyxia", used as the opening theme for Tokyo Ghoul. After that, the band recorded "Zettai Zetsumei (絶対絶命)" and "Lamp" for Yakusoku no Neverland, "bullet" for Psycho-Pass, and "give it back" for Jujutsu Kaisen. It also released the full albums PURE in 2019 and Flos Ex Machina in 2022. In newer work, Cö shu Nie recorded the opening song for Black Butler -Emerald Witch Arc- and a song for Bleach: Brave Souls’ 10th anniversary.
