Psycho-Pass

Psycho-Pass is a near-future crime drama set in the 22nd century, when Japan is governed by the Sibyl System, a network that measures each citizen’s mental state and assigns a Psycho-Pass to judge the risk they pose before they commit a crime. Inspectors act as the system’s lawful face, enforcing its judgments with lethal force when necessary, while Enforcers—latent criminals allowed a measure of freedom—carry out the dangerous work that keeps the machinery of order moving. At the center of the story is Akane Tsunemori, a young Inspector determined to believe in justice within a society that treats the Sibyl System as objective truth. Working alongside veteran Enforcer Shinya Kougami, she is drawn into cases that expose corruption, violence, and the moral compromises hidden beneath the promise of scientific certainty. As Akane confronts the gap between law and justice, Psycho-Pass asks what kind of peace is worth preserving, and who gets to decide the meaning of guilt, freedom, and humanity.
