Twitter: @asakaofficial She lived in Michigan, USA from ages 3 to 8 because of her parents' work. She got into anime in fifth grade after learning the Hare Hare Yukai dance from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. In her first year of junior high a music teacher encouraged her to become a singer, and inspired by May'n she decided to pursue a career as an anisong singer. She took part in various karaoke competitions and auditions, including NHK's 2nd Annual Anisong Nodojiman G in 2015, where she reached the finals. She even told guest May'n at the time that she was aiming to follow her example. Before choosing to be a singer she wanted to be a translator and attended an international school. She performed under the name Asaka Noji (野地あさか) before her debut. She also looks up to Konomi Suzuki. KATSU from angela said at Animelo Summer Live 2014 that the event felt the best and encouraged people to join, which inspired her to aim for Animelo; she later performed there in 2018. Asaka means Flower that Blooms in Asia. Her hobbies and skills include watching anime, karaoke, cosplay, nail art, and English. She also enjoys games and manga.
