Shoushimin Series

Shoushimin Series follows Jougorou Kobato, a sharp and observant teenager who has a habit of inserting himself into other people's problems. After realizing that his detective skills are neither wanted nor appreciated, he makes an agreement with his shy friend Yuki Osanai: they will become ordinary together and try to live quiet lives. As they enter high school, they do their best to pass as regular students, but Kobato cannot stay away from the small puzzles and odd incidents that keep surfacing around them. What begins as a plan for a peaceful, average school life slowly turns into a tense balancing act. Even mundane occurrences can pull Kobato and Osanai into situations that threaten their attempt to remain unnoticed, and every day at school tests how long they can keep their promise. Shoushimin Series mixes everyday mystery with character drama, focusing on the uneasy distance between wanting to blend in and the instinct to investigate when something feels off. The series builds its charm from small incidents, private ambitions, and the fragile friendship between two students who would rather be invisible than extraordinary.
