Arslan Senki is set in the kingdom of Pars, where the young prince Arslan grows up under the stern rule of King Andragoras III, a monarch whose relentless war with the neighboring empire of Lusitania has left the realm strained and unstable. Unlike his father, Arslan is thoughtful, compassionate, and still untested in battle, but he wants to prove that he can earn the loyalty of his people and someday lead Pars in a better way.
That hope is shattered when Arslan’s first campaign ends in betrayal, and the Parsian army is devastated by one of the king’s most trusted officials. With Ecbatana under siege and Lusitanian forces closing in, Arslan escapes with the respected general Daryun, beginning a desperate flight from a kingdom in collapse. As other powers move to seize Ecbatana, Arslan is drawn into a larger conflict against the strategist who orchestrated Lusitania’s victory: an enigmatic man hidden behind a silver mask. His hidden identity and the secret he carries threaten Arslan’s right to succession, forcing the prince to gather allies, secure his legitimacy, and find the strength he will need to reclaim his home and one day become king.
