NICO Touches the Walls

NICO Touches the Walls was a Japanese rock band formed in April 2004. The group was led by vocalist and guitarist Tatsuya Mitsumura, with Daisuke Furumura on guitar and Shingo Sakakura on bass. Shotaro Tsushima joined in July 2004, completing the lineup. In November that year, the band won the Lotte Prize at the Yamaha Teen Music Festival. After early independent releases, it made its major-label debut on Ki/oon Records with the mini-album "How are you?" in November 2007. That was followed by the single "Yoru no Hate" in February 2008. The band later released work through Toy's Factory. NICO Touches the Walls became closely associated with anime. Its opening themes included "Hologram (ホログラム)" for "Fullmetal Alchemist", "Diver" and "Niwaka Ame Nimo Makezu (ニワカ雨ニモ負ケズ)" for "Naruto", "Matryoshka (マトリョーシカ)" for "C", and "Uzu to Uzu (渦と渦)" for "Arslan Senki". Its ending themes included "BROKEN YOUTH" for "Naruto" and "Mashi Mashi (マシ・マシ)" and "Tenchi Gaeshi (天地ガエシ)" for "Haikyuu!!". In November 2019, NICO Touches the Walls announced that it would disband after 15 years together.
