有頂天人生

“有頂天人生” is the first opening theme for the 2013 television anime 有頂天家族 (The Eccentric Family), produced by P.A. Works. Performed by milktub, it was released by Lantis as a CD single on July 31, 2013. Lyrics were written by milktub, 宮崎京一 composed the music, and 宮崎京一 and milktub arranged it. The single also includes “キセキのブランコ” and off-vocal versions of both songs.

The track carries a brisk, band-driven J-Pop sound with a strong rock push. Guitars and drums keep the tempo moving, while milktub’s vocal stays direct and energetic. Its chorus opens outward quickly instead of lingering, giving the song a buoyant, extroverted feel.

That forward motion suits Uchouten Kazoku’s mix of family tension, playful supernatural life, and constant movement through Kyoto. A TV-size version later appeared on the soundtrack TVアニメ『有頂天家族』オリジナルサウンドトラック - 狸の奏でる音楽 -, tying the broadcast cut of “有頂天人生” to the series’ wider score release.
