Susumu Hirasawa

Susumu Hirasawa is a Japanese composer and musician whose work spans art pop, electronic, and synth-pop. Born on April 2, 1954, in Katsushika, Japan, he began his music career in the late 1970s and developed a style built on layered electronics, strong melodic hooks, and dramatic, cinematic textures. He is known for his music for "Berserk," including "Forces," and for "The Legend of the Overfiend." Hirasawa has also collaborated with director Satoshi Kon, and his catalog includes numerous albums released through NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan LLC.
