Satomi Satou

Satomi Satou is a Japanese voice actress from Sendai, Miyagi, Japan. Affiliated with Aoni Production, she graduated from Tokyo Announce Gakuin Performing Arts College and built her career as a seiyuu in anime and other voice-related media projects, with a warm, approachable voice used across a wide range of character types. She is also known by the nickname Sugar (しゅがぁ) in fan and industry references. Alongside her anime voice acting work, she serves as the voice provider for Touhoku Zunko, the Vocaloid character associated with the Tohoku region, connecting her work to vocal-synthesis projects as well. As a singer, Satou has taken part in anime theme songs across several ensemble cast units. In "K-On!" she performed on "Cagayake! GIRLS" and "Don't say 'lazy'"; in "Hyouka" she sang "Madoromi no Yakusoku (まどろみの約束)" and "Kimi ni Matsuwaru Mystery (君にまつわるミステリー)"; and in "Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?" she appeared on "Daydream café", "Nichijou Decoration (日常デコレーション)", and "no poi! (ノーポイッ！)". Her anisong work also includes "Seishun Satsubatsu-ron (青春サツバツ論)" for "Ansatsu Kyoushitsu", "Mirai Night (ミライナイト)" for "Seitokai Yakuindomo", and "Happy Tale" for "Fairy Tail".
