Pile (born Eriko Hori on 1988-05-02) is a Japanese singer, actress, and voice actress from Tokyo, Japan. Active since 2005, she performs under the stage name Pile, is also known by the nickname Pile-sama, and is of Japanese and Korean descent.
After entering entertainment through a scout, she took minor television and film roles in 2006. That same year, she was chosen in a nationwide audition. She made her singing debut with "Your is All..." in 2007, then began voice acting in 2010 as Maki Nishikino in "Love Live! School Idol Project".
Alongside her work in "Love Live!", Pile developed a solo career in melodic J-pop shaped by anime songs, idol music, and character songs. In 2013, she formed Please & Secret with 楠田亜衣奈. In 2014, she formed 4to6 with 飯田里穂 and also made her major solo debut with "伝説のFLARE" under Victor Entertainment. Her anime-related songs include "Donna Toki mo Zutto (どんなときもずっと)" for "Love Live!", "Dream Trigger (ドリームトリガー)" for "World Trigger", and "Lost Paradise" for "Ousama Game".
In 2015, she received the Singing Award at the ninth Seiyu Awards as a member of μ's and appeared with the group at the 66th NHK紅白歌合戦. She later held a solo concert at 日本武道館 in 2017 and released the best album "The Best Of Pile" in 2018.
