In Ousama Game, Nobuaki Kanazawa transfers to a new school hoping to stay out of trouble and keep everyone at a distance, but his isolation hides a terrible reason: he already knows what happens when the King's Game begins. When his class receives a message from someone calling themselves "The King," every student is pulled into a cruel set of instructions that cannot be ignored. Anyone who refuses to play, quits halfway, or fails to follow an order within 24 hours is marked for a deadly punishment.
Nobuaki tries to warn his clueless classmates that the messages are real, but his warnings sound like the panicked ramblings of a boy who wants nothing to do with others. That changes only after the King's Game claims its first victims, forcing the class to face the horror in front of them. With no clear escape, fear spreads quickly and trust starts to collapse as the students are pushed into impossible choices.
Now trapped in the same nightmare he once survived, Nobuaki must decide whether to protect only himself or shoulder the burden of saving classmates who barely believe him, even if doing so costs him his life.
